  • Refurbishment Surveys - This is a more intensive option than a management survey and is designed to ensure that nobody will be negatively impacted by work on ACMs during works on a premises.
  • Demolition Surveys - This survey is aimed at identifying all asbestos containing materials, using destructive inspection methods. It is designed to show any areas that need safely removing before the demolition of a building.

According to The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, all duty holders with either known, or suspected asbestos in their building, are obligated to have a written asbestos management plan.

The plan will state the risks presented by the asbestos, and will also identify ways to control these hazards. It is also something that should be reviewed regularly, to ensure that it's effective.
