Asbestos Management Surveys
Management surveys are typically undertaken to comply with The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR 2012). The purpose of a management survey is to locate, as far as reasonably practicable, the presence and extent of any suspect ACMs in the building which could be damaged or disturbed during the normal occupation and use of the building to ensure continued management of the Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM’s)
Re-inspection Surveys
Asbestos-containing materials (ACM’s) are subject to potential damage and degradation over time. Re-inspection asbestos surveys are designed to monitor and record the condition of any previously identified asbestos. This will allow long term management of ACM’s.
Refurbishment Surveys
This type of survey is more intrusive than a management survey. A refurbishment survey is required for all work which is likely to disturb the fabric of the building. This will include areas where the management survey has not been intrusive
Demolition Surveys
Are fully intrusive and are designed to identify all asbestos-containing materials using fully destructive techniques. The survey will be fully intrusive, as necessary, to gain access to all areas, including those that may be difficult to reach.
