At Summit Environmental, our ethos is “we do it right because it matters,” and each fire door risk assessment, asbestos survey, and everything in between is always undertaken vigilantly, to the highest standards, and with the safety of the public as our top priority. The way we achieve this is by having a strong team, who share these values and are equally passionate about public safety.

Our team is made up of consultants and surveyors specialising in legionella, asbestos, fire door and fire risk, health and safety and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs). Based in the South East of England, but with the ability to travel throughout the UK and Ireland, we work with a range of clients from schools, councils, theatres, retailers and block management companies to name a few. Let’s start by introducing you to each of the team, who share their views on what makes Summit Environmental a company they are proud to be a part of.

Mark, Managing Director

"Since founding Summit Environmental in 2019, it has always been important to me that the team I create shares an ethos and passion to ensure every job is undertaken to the highest of standards, meaning our clients can be confident the job has been done right. So, it is great to have as reliable team as I do, on the journey with us as we continue to grow."

Joe, Senior Consultant, specialising in Asbestos, CDM, Fire and Health & Safety

"I’m a lead consultant delivering all types of asbestos surveys and fire risk assessments, as well as providing other related consultancy for these services, such as assisting with asbestos remediation strategies and fire evacuation plans and strategies. I also help coach other members of the team to help them develop in these disciplines.

The best thing about Summit Environmental is the rest of the team. I have been friends with Mark for over a decade, having met in our younger days at another consultancy, so, it’s great to work with someone I trust.  We’ve also been really fortunate with the newer members of the company, who are all really bright, consistent and conscientious people, with, importantly, a great sense of humour."

Chris, Operational Director, specialising in EPCs

"What I like about working for Summit Environmental was entering a new career at a time when many people of my age may be going for the easy life. So lifelong learning continues, along with meeting people from a completely different sphere than I had worked in for my whole career. My involvement with the development of Summit Environmental has been comparatively minor and yet, collectively the company has developed significantly and through many small steps."

Ben, Consultant, specialising in asbestos, fire and fire doors

"My favourite aspect of working at Summit Environmental is the satisfaction that comes with identifying risks and offering solutions on how to mitigate them, knowing that our efforts help to protect people from potential fire or asbestos related hazards."

Darren, Consultant, specialising in asbestos, fire and fire doors

"What I like best about working at Summit Environmental is being able to visit and work in the vastly different sites that we come across, whether that is within domestic property or a large theatre, and being able to identify the hazards and make those environments safer."

Maddy, Operations

"I really enjoy working for Summit Environmental. I’m made to feel like a valued member of the team, Mark runs the company with the ethos that everyone is equal, everyone plays their own role in the team. He listens to his staff, respects their opinions and keeps an open mind to all ideas they put forward."

Ed, Trainee on university placement

"I’m excited to be working at Summit Environmental as I will develop new skills and tackle different surveying methods and processes which I haven’t encountered in my previous lines of work and learning."
